Gap Between Metal Siding and Brick Facade

There is a gap between the metal siding on the sides on my house and the brick facade that fronts the house. It looks like caulk has worn away. Is there a type of caulk I ought to use to repair this?

If you use an acrylic latex

If you use an acrylic latex caulk, you'll be able to paint it, and most of them now are fairly elastic. If you can find one to match your siding, you won't have to paint it, and the same applies for a silicon caulk. Silicon is very elastic and works better if you are in a cold climate. I generally use a 100% silicon, either clear or colored, depending on the size of the gap.

For smaller gaps, clear generally looks best, for larger ones, you'll need to color match as best you can.

In either case, if there was caulk there, spend the time to completely remove it so that you can do a nice application of the newer caulk. This will look better, and help the new caulk to stick better.
